everybody. this goes until 2:00 a.m. and we also have a little bit of flash flood warning action going on, too and these counties under a flash flood warning. some of this is over the same area that where we had the heavy rain yesterday. until 6:45 p.m. and culpepper until 5:15 and clark county and into west virginia and that is until 6:45 and expect heavy rain out of the storms and we'll talk about what to expect this evening and beyond and basically more the same of the the full forecast in just a bit. >> thank you. former prince georges county executive jack johnson pleaded guilty. both are felonies. johnson apologized and is headed to prison. john henrehan was in the room with that ploy. >> reporter: there were 100 seats and somewhere here to express their disapproval of

the former county executive and others including jack johnson were there as he pleaded guilty to charges that will probably send him to prison. until now, the former pg county executive proclaimed his innocence. according to the prosecution, he engaged in corrupt practices and virtually the entire eight years. >> it was not brief -- it was a pay-to-pay scheme and in return for bribe payments jack johnson arranged for them to be there approval and permits for building projects and assistance in legislation and private property. >> reporter: prosecutors believe that johnson got more than $400,000 in illegal

payoffs. inside, johnson pleaded guilty to extortion, conspiracy and tampering. six other counts were dropped. >> after considering the evidence and the facts, mr. johnson accepted responsibility for what he has done and entered the plea of guilty today. >> considering our financial situation, the stress on the family and our children we thought it would be better and we played guilty and accept responsibility and i want to say to all the citizens of the county that i am very sorry for what happened. and, you know, we all have fallen short of the glory of the lord. >> reporter: after johnson's guilty plea, prosecutors unsealed guilty pleas from three other individuals connected to governmental corruption during the tenure of

jack johnson and prosecutors told reporters they will seek prison time to punish the crime and as a deterrent and they talking about a range of 11 to 13 years if the prosecution gets what it wants. leslie johnson, the wife of former prince georges county executive jack johnson indicted in this case and when she was arrested, there was $80,000 in cash in her underwear and many people speculated that that had to do with softening the charges against the wife but the prosecutor told us, and let me quote him, that case against leslie johnson remains pending and is unaffected by proceedings and i called leslie johnson's office and she's still the county council woman representing district 6 in prince georges county. no change in the status or according to the prosecutor and the case against her. >> clearly this is far from over. thank you for the update. and we have a little more information on the other three

paul wagner has more details on this one. paul? >> reporter: one year ago today, jose cardona, a married father of two, stepped between two armed men who came to rob the family that he worked for. he took a bull tote the upper body and died at the scene. fairfax county police have released a portion of a 911 call and a photograph of the vehicle the gunman used to get away the call was placed from the garage of this home at 10:45 may 17th, 2010. >> when you hear the 911 call, there is a open line with the mother of the home and show has the open line and you will hear when she goes out, you will hear a lot of yelling, screaming and a lot of emotions going there and then you will hear voices in the background. >> reporter: the language is so graphic, we can only play a small portion.

[ indiscernible ] yo please! >> reporter: after shooting cardona, investigators believe the two gunmen jumped into the bed of this pickup truck and were driven away by one, perhaps two other men. have you ever seen this truck? police know it's involved and now they're trying to connect the truck with the voices on the 911 call and the four persons of interest. >> they're all friends, or acquaintances. >> reporter: what detective tony needs is more information. >> they could have talked to someone outside of the group of four people that were here and told them the specifics of what happened here. >> you're still looking about the one piece you need for the probable cause? >> that one piece that could be multiple pieces. >> reporter: after the murder, police released these composite sketches. outside the home, the son who

fought with the gunman had nothing but praise for jose car deep a. >> he was a very -- cardona. >> he was a courageous self- less man who fought hard to try and, you know, calm the situation down without anyone bitting -- getting hurt and that includes the intruders. >> reporter: the man who didn't want to be identified said his family was hoping the new information will lead police to the gunman who killed a man the family now calls their guardian angel. if you recognize the voice on the tape or the pickup truck used in the getaway, police would like to hear from you tonight. there is a $5,000 reward for information. jose rosales cardona was 39 years old. >> thank you. a 20-year-old accused in a deadly accident has posted bond to get out of jail but now, he's waiting to be processed. three young people died in a crash and a 19-year-old survivor, a passenger survived.

investigators claimed that kevin coffee was driving the car and ended up walking away without calling for help and the montgomery county state's attorney said the students have been to at least two parties that night and coffee is jailed on several charges. new details emerging about the raid on osama bin laden's pakistani compound. the associated press learned that pakistan did not know about the raid because the mistrust of the intelligence of the country. the raid was planned for the night of may 1st. there was no moon. two blackhawks went into the compound while three chinooks waited while they failed. robert gates said there was no direct evidence that bin laden was in the house and it was the best intelligence the u.s. had skins 2001, and the national security team was on board. and u.s. lawmakers insist that they need to see action between pakistan and new images

show that he's speeding up the program begs the question, are they focused on the arms race with india or tracking down terrorists? and jennifer davis has the latest. >> reporter: lawmakers took a closer look at the question, is pakistan a friend or foe and did this as news emerged out of islamabad that could indicate either option. pakistan's army said that it arrested a senior al qaeda operative along the border with afghanistan. the u.s. officials, however, describe the person as more mid- level and that is the latest disconnect in a already strained relationship between islamabad and washington. but a rap that the white house continues to stress is critical. >> and that relationship the united states has with pakistan is important. >> obviously, there are important concerns and many questions that have to be addressed and worked through. >> reporter: just back from a trip, the chairman of the senate foreign relations committee convened a senate panel to look at the fragile

relationship between washington and islamabad. >> and we have 100,000 reasons for worrying about our relationship with pakistan and their young men and women in uniform in afghanistan. >> reporter: a new concern? satellite images showing construction of a reactor in pakistan. >> pakistan has the most rapidly expanding capabilities in the world and that is largely a manifestation of the ongoing obsession with india. >> reporter: many stress with all the the questions, the u.s. wants to see action, not words of current financial aid to pakistan is going to continue. >> pakistan's must recognize the united states does not give out blank checks. >> reporter: the president is said to deliver a speech on thursday and the white house said it will include specific ideas about how to bring about broad positive change in the region on capitol hill, jennifer davis, back to you.

from wife maria shriver. he admits to fathering a child with a woman who works for his family for 20 years and schwarzenegger kept the secret for more than a decade. anita vogel has more. >> reporter: it's a bomb shell in hollywood and political circles. former governor arnold schwarzenegger admitting he fathered a love child a decading on with a former staff member who pork worked for the family for 20 years, a woman who retired this past january. he told his wife about it after leaving the governor's office, explaining why, perhaps, she moved out of the coupleo home months before announcing the split last week. the former first lady of california spoke out to "people" magazine about this saying, quote, this is a painful and heartbreaking time. as a mother, my concern is for the children. i ask for compassion, respect, and privacy as my children and i try to rebuild our lives and heal. i will have no further comment. arnold is speak out saying he's sorry for all of the pain he caused his family over this and

he was seen a few times publicly since announcing their split last week and at his first public event, he had this to say. >> we both love each other very much. we're fortunate that we have four extraordinary children and we're taking one day at a time. >> reporter: they seem to be headed back to careers in front of the camera. maria is being wooed by a number of big wigs, including oprah winfrey. she's in chicago to tape one of the final episodes of the oprah winfrey show. it's not a matter of if maria will return to television but when and arnold's gone back to hollywood and is said to star in an animated tv show called the governate or door rumored to do another terminator movie this prompted one former female governor to speak but about this on twitter. former michigan governor gran home tweeted this thought this morning: another guy gov admits

and may not be. >> and speaking of the people we feel awful for, maria shrined this as heartbreaking k. their four children get through this and what about his secret child? the paparazzi is going to be all over him. >> this is the issue, really. it's the consequences and what you're modeling to your children and what you model to the world that is most upsetting to us, and that is deeply humiliating, obviously, and the higher you have been flying before, the more humiliating it is when you hit the ground here and we shall see. they will get professional hope. i hope they do. the issue of what kind of model we're showing to our children is the critical one. >> and billion line here, this is a very public case and this has happened to people in their private lives and people not big megamovie stars. if you're in a situation like this, what do you do? you can get over this? yes, of course you can and it all depends on the person's

>> the head of the international monetary fund will remain in the notorious liker's island jail until friday. -- richer's jail until at least friday. he was charged with attacking his maid who went to clean his luxury hotel suite on saturday. prosecutors ask that he be held without bail because he might take off for france where he's from and he's charged with attempted race, sex abuse and a criminal sex act. a florida judge had hoped to start the murder trial of casey anthony tomorrow. delays in seating a jury, though, mean that is not going happen. the problem is the court's having trouble finding people who haven't heard about the case.

>> the u.s. postal service is delivering bad news today. they have big money problems and fixing it is not going to be cheap or easy. this was all front and center at a her -- hearing on capitol hill and tom fitzgerald is not following it. >> reporter: in just the first three months of this year, it was already $2 billion in the red and looking ahead. $8billion loss for the fiscal year which could force a default on payments to federal accounts and all of this came out during a senate hearing today on capitol hill. the chairman of that -- the the chairman of the committee, senator tom carver of delaware, said the post office needs to embrace big changes in the way it does business. carver wants to stop the post office from overpaying the retirement system to the tune of $75 billion he wants the post offices to close and he wants to pass a law to allow

the usps to deliver alcohol which, it's banned by law from doing. in all, it's warning the post office is at the crossroads and the very survival is at stake. >> we're rapidly reachithe point, however, which the postal service no longer has the authority under currently to do what it needs to in order to survive and prosper. >> reporter: the head of the u.s. postal service laid out the root of the problem and that is -- the lifeblood of the post office for years. postal service revenues and the amount of that dropped 3% since the start of this year. more people returning to the internet to communicate, more people are using the internet to pay bills and listen to what the post master general had to say today. >> like any business, the

postal service is subject to marketplace trends. unfortunately, we have seen a significant long-term decline in our most profitable product category, first class mail that accounts for approximately 50% of the revenue. >> and that is the problem. half of the money the postal service relies on is disappearing and the costs are continuing to rise at ha this rate. the postal service is on pace to exceed $1.6 billion the postal service reached the amount of money it's allowed to borrow and major reforms will be needed to be enacted soon. >> the past few months, we heard a lot of options thrown around on what may happen to fix the problem. what can we expect? there is a range of options. the long-term effect will have the post offices closing and the layoffs we talked about in

the past and the postal workforce is going to shrink and we're going to hear more about the delivery on saturday and the rate hike question, and it can also price itself out of that business by raising rates and while the parcel rates may fall flat or drop in some cases, a lot of that first- class mail service that we talked about, some are going to go up. >> finding a way to survive. tom fitzgerald, thank you very much. local shoppers will have a new choice and when stocking up. a new costco is likely coming to wheaton. they rejected a proposal to block the county from giving to the shopping mall west feel. they want to reuse the money to build a warehouse instead. isaiah leggett lobbied for a plan to give it a $400 million subsidy over two years. unhappy couples waiting for

years to get their rightfully owned precious photos of their weddings. the story almost didn't have a happy ending until fox 5 made an unexpected visit. here's more on this fox 5 investigation. >> reporter: imagine the most important day of your life reduced to only a memory in your mind. >> i wish we never met him. >> reporter: married couples said a wedding photographer robbed them of their special day and see they contacted fox 5. >> the pictures are beautiful and i want them. my family wants to see them, i want to see them. >> i love shooting weddings. >> reporter: in february, we tracked down christopher watt walters, a photographer with the seemingly great eye but a poor record when it came to delivering wedding albums. some clients waiting years for their promised photographs. >> are they going to get their pictures or are they gone? >> no, the pictures are not

gone. every picture that i have ever taken as a photographer exists. >> reporter: at the time, he admitted he got in over his head with his business and promised to deliver the pictures within weeks of our broadcast. >> and we will do everything in our power to bring these issues to resolution. and we will -- we're committed to doing that. >> i didn't believe but i was hoping that because he said it on air, that he would actually honor it. >> reporter: they got married in 2008 and three months after our story first aired, she is still waiting. for pictures walters continues to use to promote his business on his website and in his georgetown studio. >> i thought he would take them down, you know, and he would be embarrassed. >> reporter: they still have nothing from their 2007 wedding, even after winning a lawsuit that they brought against him. >> and utterly fed up, they

tomorrow. >> but it's words they heard before. >> it's not even about promises. you signed a contract. that is a legal document. just honor it. that's all we're asking for. >> how long does it take to deliver these? why is it taking you four years? >> reporter: apparently it takes four years and a day. less than 24 hours after our visit, walters came through for kai? can and jane sue. >> i was ecstatic. >> reporter: the first time in almost four years. >> is where i'm putting the ring on her there. >> reporter: they're able to see what their wedding looked like. >> and that is such a relief that they still exist, you know, i was so happy and was like thank god. >> i was shocked. >> reporter: a week later, sarah and her husband glenn finally got to flip through the album from their 2009 wedding. >> all of these pictures are beautiful. >> reporter: they're focussing on the happy memories caught in the images and not what followed. >> if it was not for the

cameras and you guys, we would not have our album today. >> you saw it was not over. ej told fox 5 she's waiting on her albums. how do you avoid a situation like this when hiring a wedding photographer? experts say get recommendations from wedding aprils or planners and check out what brides are saying about vendors on the message boards and blogs and talk with more than one former customer who got their finished product before you sign any contract and always designate a delivery time in your contract. scientists for the national zoo say mei-xian is showing signs of pregnancy. that means she may give birth or end a false pregnancy by early july. the zoo vets detected a rise in hormone levels but not enough to know if she is actually pregnant. scientists have been conducting ultrasounds two times a week now and have not detected a fetus just yet. >> we go through this every year. we think she's pregnant and wait, you know. what jeff, how many days, 60

judge we're staying on top of developing news. the team owners and players were back in court for another round of mediation. dave feldman joins us now. where do things stand now? >> reporter: we're waiting and we know we're waiting another month and maybe longer than. that it federal appeals court ruled the lockout remains in place. they said the lockout will continue until the full -- full appeal is heard on whether it's legal. that hearing is scheduled for june 3rd in st. louis. the owners and players wrapped up another round of court- ordered mediation without any sign of a new agreement. officials left the federal courthouse in minneapolis

saying they returned before the u.s. magistrate judge on june 7th. that would be four days before the appeals hearing. redskins lorenzo alexander offered his opinion on the latest development. >> it gets confusing and overwhelming. i remove myself away from the situation. i am educated on what is going on but it's a day-to-day nuances of the legal aspect of it and i let everyone over the nfl handle that and i work out and get ready for the season. when they say i can play, i am showing up and the coach is man, he's ready to go. and yes, she. the commissioner said he thinks there is still time to strike a collective bargaining agreement and that time is short. it's time to get back to the table and to get the issues resolved. shawn? >> i agree. thank you very much, feldy. in one school district, it's ahead of the game when it

are and where they are not and this was well to the south earlier and that is all moving like yesterday from the southeast and to the northwest. rotating back into the big area of low pressure that is still sittity ising and spinning to the west. -- sitting and spinning to the west. hagerstown. the storms have passed you and there is some lightning in here and back up to 68 and moving into southern sections of pennsylvania and western maryland. that red is very, very heavy rain, two, three inches of rain per hour coming out of the storms and frederick, the storms moved north and along northern sections of 15 there. westminster, this is wrapping into you and bringing you heavy rain and there is a lot of lightning, too. expect a lot of lightning from the thunderstorms and a tropical atmosphere out there and in the city, they're dry for now and the heavy rain this

afternoon and we have active flash flood warnings and true view can show us where they are this afternoon. most of this is to the west of the district and we have had heavy rain here out there, this looks fired, 6:45 and one for culpeper, clark county, most of these going until 6:45 jefferson county, 8:45 and my thought is some of these will begin to expire a little bit early. the rain moved to the north and to the northwest and they may expire early. you can see several counties under a flash flood warning and everybody is under a flash flood watch and this will go through tonight to 2:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. again, with the thunderstorms and moving through the evening with the heavy rain, we have to watch out for that. we have a lot of rain. the showers and thunderstorms at 7:00. by later on this evening, they

get more spotty in nature and we'll have showers and winds out of the south and east at 10 to 20 miles per hour and much like today, all of the thunderstorms rotating around the low pressure and there is the area of low pressure back out to the west of us and this is upper level low pressure and when we get this type of situation, it take awhile for this area to kind of get out of here and we won't get the improvement until that happens and that is still looking like the weekend until it's nicer around here. future cast tonight at 6:00 and not much coming through this evening and a little tomorrow morning with some scattered sunshine and showers and thunderstorms, too. the same pattern stays in place until the area of stormy weather is out of here. scattered evening thunderstorms and after that, clouds and showers overnight tonight. the temperature gets down to 63 degrees and much like this
